Beyond the Page

J.L. (Jess) Hopkins is a wife, mother, and writer from Indiana whose love of storytelling began on Tumblr in 2012, where she first found her voice writing fanfiction. What started as a small corner of the internet to share her stories grew into something far more meaningful: a writing community that has inspired, encouraged, and shaped her work for the past fourteen years.

She credits much of her growth to the readers and fellow writers who have followed her along the way, reminding her time and again why stories and characters matter, and why they are worth telling.

Outside of writing, Jess spends her days with her husband, Graham, and their daughter, finding beauty in the ordinary moments of family life. She is endlessly grateful to Graham and to her sister, Mikaela, the only two people she trusted to read her work before the rest of the world did.
